Tri-fold, bi-fold, Z-fold and gate on gloss or matte, scored and folded
A brochure is the piece that explains: services, packages, floor plans, a menu, a program, a tour. It is what people take from a counter, what a salesperson leaves behind and what a mailbox delivers when there is more to say than a postcard holds.
We print brochures on bright 100lb gloss text as standard, or on heavier cover stock when the piece needs to last. Every fold is scored on cover weights so the spine stays clean, and every brochure can be set up as a self-mailer with the mailing panel on the outside.
Choosing a fold
The tri-fold (letter fold) is the standard: six panels from one 8.5×11 sheet, fits a #10 envelope and a rack. The bi-fold (half fold) gives four larger panels for photography and floor plans. The Z-fold opens flat for a map or a step-by-step. The gate fold makes an entrance for a premium reveal. Larger sheets, 8.5×14 and 11×17, add panels for menus and catalogs.
Gloss or matte, text or cover?
Gloss text makes photos pop and is the economical default. Matte text is easier to read when a brochure is text-heavy and looks more premium. Cover stocks stand up in a rack, survive a mailbox and feel substantial in the hand; they are the choice for real estate, hospitality and anything with a price tag above a few hundred dollars.
Brochures that mail
A tri-fold on 100lb text with the mailing panel on an outside face, tabbed shut, mails at Marketing Mail letter rates. An 11×17 folded in half is EDDM-eligible. The self-mailer page has the tabbing rules; the design templates show the mailing panel.

How much does it cost to print 500 brochures?

Can a brochure be mailed without an envelope?
Yes. Set up as a self-mailer with one outside panel for the address and postage and sealed with wafer-seal tabs, a tri-fold brochure mails at USPS Marketing Mail letter rates. We fold, tab and address it as part of the mailing.
